View Larger Happy 25th Birthday Seb! It is unbelievable to consider how much you have achieved in such a short, yet hectic, lifetime. It is truly awe-inspiring and a little crazy. I can only hope that when I turn twenty five (as I’m fifteen I do have the gift of time on my side…), I will be able to say that I have reached such incredible goals just like you have. Okay, maybe there is a slim chance that I will be the next youngest double Formula 1 World Champion – you will definitely always manage to beat me when it comes to the trophy cabinet! However, there is no doubt that Formula 1 has always been a highly significant part of my life. I have never lived without it. I really do need some sort of a life, but that is beside the point of this birthday message… anyway, Michael Schumacher was the man to beat as I grew up. You know only too well what I mean by this as your childhood was rather similar to mine in that aspect (there is most certainly nothing wrong with a bit of Schumi love). German domination hasn’t all been down to Michael’s superior winning streak. You have had such a decisive role in raising the German flag above the podium. Sebastian, you are living proof that some dedication plus a whole lot of steely determination can open many doors. Doors to whatever you would like, as long as you put in all the effort and a little bit more. Because of this you are an absolute hero of mine and a constant inspiration as I go through the stepping stones of life. As you can see by the photos above, I have had the honour of being rather close to you in the past. I would never, ever take those memories for granted, as they are some of the best I have ever experienced. In all honesty, they will most likely remain the most exhilarating experiences for as long as I live. Of course, meeting you would be the biggest dream come true. You have impacted my life so, so much without even realising it. By simply living, you show me how wonderful I can make my future. After watching you lift that trophy mightily high in Abu Dhabi 2010, and then again in Japan 2011, I look forward to the next championship you win… and the next… and the next. Race your heart out. Full throttle. Until you get to the corners, it is always best to brake near those. Make sure you get all those trophies you have ever desired before the grey hairs appear. Ah, you best get a move on then ;-) I hope you are able to grasp just how much support you have worldwide. It is fascinating that you have the ability of bringing together men and women, boys and girls, of so many diverse nationalities, ethnicities and religions. Not only have I fallen even more in love with the sport thanks to your ever-growing presence, but I have started speaking to so many people who have become close friends of mine because we share the mutual interest of watching you race. Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do, Seb. I cannot wait to share all my stories about watching you race with my grandchildren. I can already tell they will be jealous. Never lose that cheeky grin and the even cheekier personality, some say it lights up the paddock. With all my love and foam finger pointing, Teagan – the UK.
